Every client is required to read and sign this Policy Agreement prior to any grooming services being performed.
I, the undersigned customer, do hereby entrust my pet to O My Dog for the purpose of grooming my pet.
I use text messaging and/or email to contact clients, set up or change appointments and to notify clients of any changes to my pricing, service policy and closures. If you need phone calls please let me know. I prefer text messages or emails from clients to alert me of any changes to their appointments at least 48 hours ahead of their scheduled appointment. If you do need to call please leave a message as my work phone is always on Silent.
Here at O My Dog, I take pride in my work and the stress free environment provided for your pets. My goal is to ensure the comfort of all pets that enter my mobile salon. That being said, I do reserve the right to refuse service if I believe your pet is overly stressed, aggressive or frail, so as not to endanger your pet or myself. I assume your pet is in good health unless you notify me of any health issues before your appointment.

Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. I accept Cash, Check and Credit Cards. I do not accept Venmo, Cashapp or any other Cash Services. A $35 processing fee will be charged for any returned check for non-sufficient funds plus any bank fees that I incur.
APPOINTMENT ARRIVAL TIMES
Please allow a 1 hour appointment arrival time. This is due to an occasional need to refuel, fill water tanks, bathroom break, mechanical issues, traffic or just running early/late. I will make an effort to contact you if I will be more than 15 minutes early or late.
MULTIPLE PET APPOINTMENT DEPOSITS
For clients who book appointments for three or more pets at one time, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of your full ticket price to hold your spot is required. This is applied to your appointment total. This fee can be paid through the O My Dog Paypal service.
I understand that life happens and you may need to cancel an appointment at the last minute. However, if the last minute cancellations become frequent I may request a 50% non-refundable deposit for future appointments.
ANAL GLAND & EAR HAIR REMOVAL
Expressing of the anal glands should be performed by or under the supervision of a Veterinarian. If done improperly or if the anal glands are infected the act of expressing them could lead to rupture or damage. O My Dog can check the glands and inform the client if they need to be expressed so that they can have the Veterinarian perform the procedure. If a client wants O My Dog to express their pet’s anal glands a signed waiver will be required. This waiver will be good for the rest of the Calendar Year.
Removing the hair that grows inside the dog’s ear can cause itching and irritation. If the dog has excessive hair growth inside of the ears a recommendation to have the Veterinarian remove it will be given to the client. O My Dog does not remove excessive hair inside of the ears without a signed waiver from the client. This Waiver will be good for the rest of the Calendar Year.
It is the responsibility of the owner to maintain your pet’s coat between grooming and bathing appointments. In the event your pet is matted and needs to be shaved or de-matted, the owner is releasing O My Dog from any liability that may arise from nicks or cuts, razor burn, raw irritated skin or any other issue directly resulting from matted hair. Any vet bills that are incurred are agreed upon to be the responsibility of the owner once this waiver is signed. The matting may result in an additional fee which is to be determined by the groomer. If I am unable to complete the grooming for any reason, the full or partial cost of services will still be due. A Matted Dog waiver will need to be signed before services are rendered. O My Dog will recommend a grooming schedule of not more than 8 weeks between visits for dogs that need a matted shave down. I will decline services if the 8 week schedule is not kept.
SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS
The safety and comfort of your pet is my number one concern. I ask that any known pre-existing issues be related to me at the time of booking your appointment. In case of any medical issues that may arise during grooming, the owner is hereby releasing O My Dog from any liability that may stem from your pet’s age or special needs. If I am unable to complete the grooming for any reason, the full or partial cost of services will still be due.
If your pet has any history of biting I must be made aware at the time of booking. In the event an appointment is booked and the animal is not able to be started due to aggression or any other issue, a $25.00 charge will be due in order to help cover the time and gas. If services have been started, but cannot be completed due to behavioral issues, you will be charged according to what was done.
If additional time is required to work with your pet due to behavioral issues, a special handling fee of $50 will be applied.
I am unable to work with pets who are aggressive, who are pregnant, nursing, or 6 weeks or less postpartum, are in heat, have any stitches or open wounds, and on a case by case basis for any other major medical issues. Other medical concerns may need a veterinary clearance letter or more information. I reserve the right to refuse services for any medical condition or concern.
I may work with partially sedated dogs depending on the medication given. You will need to specify which sedative is used in your booking request before your appointment. I will not administer any medication, this is the responsibility of the pet parent. Sedation makes it much harder to see signs of distress. I will not be held liable for any medical issue that may arise due to sedation grooming. A signed waiver will be required before grooming.
I strive to keep a sanitary and flea free environment for your pet to be groomed in. In the event your pet has fleas there may be a $35.00 fee applied to your bill for flea removal and vehicle clean up so as to not spread them to other pets.
OWNERS IN MOBILE UNIT
Due to insurance regulations I do not permit owners to go into the mobile unit at any time.
I strive to ensure a safe environment for your pet. In the event of any accident, injury, allergic reaction or irritation as a result of the grooming process any veterinary cost, medical treatment, or other damages will be at the pet owner’s expense unless it is absolutely a result of my negligence. You will be notified immediately if there is any issue.
DOUBLE COATED BREEDS
Shaving a double coated breed can cause significant damage to their natural cooling system and overall coat quality. Unless it is a case of severe matting or medical necessity I advise against doing so. Shaving a double coated breed could lead to alopecia, hair loss and in some instances heat stroke or sunburn. A signed waiver will be required before services are rendered.
In the event of severe weather such as lightning(within 10 miles) and high winds(over 25 mph will not allow crossing to Hutchinson Island) some appointments may be rescheduled for future dates.
If, for whatever reason you are dissatisfied with your grooming services, I would love the opportunity to make it right. I do require 48 hours notice of any changes needed. Depending on the issue a partial or full grooming fee may apply.
Mobile grooming relies on a regular schedule to make routing and setting appointments work smoothly. I require your pet to be on a regular grooming schedule of either 2, 4 or 8 weeks. These appointments will be booked for the entire year to make it easier for you to schedule around them. I can assist you in deciding the best recurring schedule for your pet. I do not accept appointment frequencies of more than 8 weeks except for Bath Only appointments. In the event that a standing appointment needs to be rescheduled or canceled by the client you may need to wait until your following scheduled appointment. With the current number of standing appointments and clients that I have, last minute appointments or changes may not be available since they are booked out a year in advance. Missing three consecutive appointments will result in being removed from a recurring set schedule. I do not accept new clients that want 5 or 6 week frequencies as these appointments are not consistent and will create a scheduling issue.
Any and all pictures and or videos taken of your pet before, during and after the grooming process may be used on any sort of social media outlet or any other means we see fit for our business. I hereby grant permission for O My Dog to use my pet’s name and/or picture for promotions, advertising, social media or portfolio images and release O My Dog from any liability.
I expressly assume full responsibility for all risks of any and every kind involved with my pet’s participation in mobile dog grooming services with O My Dog. In consideration of O My Dog allowing my dog to be groomed, I, on behalf of myself and my pet, do hereby agree to hold harmless, release, waive and forever discharge O My Dog, its owners, members, agents, representatives and employees (hereby known as “O My Dog”), from any and all claims, whether known and unknown, anticipated and unanticipated, which arise during or out of my pet’s participation in grooming services. I further agree that in no event shall I bring any claims, demands, or legal action against O My Dog for any economic or non-economic losses, whether in negligence, gross negligence or mental anguish, due to bodily injury, property damage, or death sustained by my pet or myself in relation to pet grooming services and/or operation of the mobile dog groomer. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless O My Dog from all losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees and litigation costs) incurred by any of the released parties as a result of any claims, damages, expenses, costs, or suits brought against any of the released parties to recover any losses or damages which arise during or as a result of the mobile dog grooming service.
